West Ham United striker Andy Carroll could be on his way to Chelsea this January.

The Englishman is reportedly wanted by Chelsea as cover

up for Alvaro Morata West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has emerged as a shock January 2018 transfer target for Premier League champions Chelsea. Chelsea coach Antonio Conte is said to be looking for another striker that will support Alvaro Morata at the club and he is considering the Englishman. Carroll who has just one full season left on his Hammers contract is also on Southampton’s hit-list as they look to cover for injured Charlie Austin.

He is expected to grab the chance of playing for Chelsea this month as the 28-year-old recently spoke of his frustration of not getting regular playing time at United. “It’s been very frustrating. I’ve been sitting on the bench – it’s been tough. I’ve been wanting to play. “I’ve been wanting to get there and start. It’s hard when you’re coming on for the last 20 minutes. “When I have been I have probably been making an impact but it’s not really what I want to do, I don’t want to be an impact player coming off the bench.” Carroll was quoted by UK Sun.
